The Woman’s Missionary Union (WMU) is an auxiliary of the Southern Baptist Convention with the aim to educate and involve adults, youth, children and pre-schoolers in the cause of Christian missions. Since its beginning in 1888, WMU has become the largest Protestant missions organization for women in the world, with a membership of approximately 1 million.

According to George W. Schroeder, "The Men's Ministry" (or the Brotherhood), "is a group of consecrated men, members of the church, who have committed themselves together for the sole purpose of promoting the full program of their church and denomination." The purpose of the Men's Ministry is to give every man in the church an opportunity to become an Informed and Informing Christian, with the aim of training the men of the church for leadership responsibilities. The goal is to encourage every man in the church to responsible church membership, and equipping them for ministry.

The Ministry of Ushering is a vital part of our church. An usher is one who serves the church by enhancing the worship service through the duties listed in our church constitution e.g. greeting of visitors, distribution of the bulletin and collection of regular and special offerings. Ushers represent the church in a very visible way, and help set the tone in preparation for the worship service, as well as assist with the smooth operation within the service.

One of the first impressions of Parkway starts with the ushers. The ushering committee does not host any events; we serve at Sunday services and as needed at all of the special events held at our church.

Identifies members of the church and the wider community who are in need, and extend to them such assistance as the church is able to give, for example, money, food, clothing and lead the church in ministering to the families of deceased members and members who have lost loved ones or suffered other serious misfortune.

The nursery at Parkway Baptist Church provides a safe, loving, and secure environment where babies and toddlers 0 through 3 years can play while being closely supervised during the Sunday morning service. Parents are asked to inform the workers of the special needs of their children. We consider the safety of your children our priority.
